If I can, I will put the artists logo in the bottom left hand corner of the music video throughout the music video and then a big version of it at the end of the music video covering most of the screen, it will last 2 seconds. I will put the title of the song at the start of the song during the instrumental bit. It will last 2 seconds and it will take up most of the screen.

Brief Synopsis: In my music video, to the song “Big Yellow Taxi” by Joni Mitchell, about the environment, I will be using two different representations. One of the representations is corporations that are degrading the environment, the second representation is people who are trying to save the environment. The representation about corporations that are degrading the environment will include images of things that are destroying our environment such as power stations; however, it will also include videos of businessmen wearing suits, leaving offices and walking to their cars. I am using businessmen because many of them drive into a city daily to get to work and they are not making any effort to save the environment. I know that some of them but a large majority are not making an effort to help save our planet. Statement of intent: For my A level Media Studies coursework, I will be using the song “Big Yellow Taxi” by Joni Mitchell to create a music video protesting for saving the environment. In my music video I will be using people of different social groups in order to make my audience keener on trying to help save our environment. The different social groups I will use include age and gender because this will encourage the audience to act as people from different ages and genders will be visible. Another thing that will encourage the audience to act is the use of direct eye contact as this is used to reassure the audience about something, in this case that they should act, the use of direct eye contact will also make the audience feel for the actors and actresses that I use in my music video, therefore reinforcing the audience to act.
